Description

A beautiful circa 1920 upright Art Model Brunswick with the Ultona reproducer. The machine includes the original set of album boxes and an intact grille.

This is one of Brunswick’s high-end models featuring an ornate, hand-crafted, hand-painted cabinet. The Ultona reproducer was a unique feature of the Brunswick unit. It was designed to play the three types of disc records sold at the time: normal lateral shellac (78s produced by Columbia and Victor) vertical cut shellac (Pathe) and vertical cut Diamond Discs (Edison) The reproducer can be rotated to use steel needles, diamond points, and ball-shaped sapphire stylus with a metal shank. It has an aesthetically pleasing internal horn made of holly or spruce and comes with storage for 10 and 12-inch records.
