Wangemann. The First Edition (brown/black wax, 2″/5″) was issued in 1969 and the expanded 2nd edition in 1987 (w/ 4-min. wax Amberols added + new data).

This current volume covers over 10,000 cylinders, with many illustrations; includes popular, political, operatic, and ragtime recordings. With Bibliography and Historical Essay on the early development of the Edison phonograph and records, from 1877-1912.  Music-Pioneer Jim Walsh once devoted his entire column to this book, in ‘Hobbies Magazine’ and Ernie Bayly reviewed it on the front cover of The Talking Machine Review (and within).
